Our Story
Hi, I’m Sam. While I was at university, I spent three years working part-time for a carpet cleaning company. In 2020, during COVID-19, I started my own small business focused on carpet cleaning.
It all began when I wanted to clean the carpets in my own home at the start of the pandemic. Many professional cleaning companies had temporarily closed for safety reasons, so I rented a small carpet cleaner from the supermarket and spent a full day cleaning.
The carpets were soaking wet and took two or three days to dry completely. Once they dried, the fibres felt stiff, and there was an unpleasant smell. Honestly, they were worse than before I’d started.
That experience reminded me just how much skill proper carpet cleaning takes. I liked the idea of putting that skill to work for families who needed it—and that’s what inspired me to start my own company.
When my friend Andre heard about the idea, he thought carpet cleaning sounded like rewarding work, too. He joined me on the very first day.
From the moment we decided to get started, Andre and I kept learning together. We took the time to study different equipment and cleaning products, work through their strengths and weaknesses, and learn from every job. Since then, we’ve served many residential and commercial customers. Today, we’re a small team with two professional truck-mounted steam cleaning systems.
